Early entry discounts for Super Series National Championships
and World Series events end on June 1st. Entry fees must
be received by the event director no later than May 31st to
utilize the "early entry discount."
There have
been an increasing number of managers changing the first names
of players on rosters. The violation occurs when managers
combine first names with middle names. As clearly stated on our
team registration page instructions, only legal first names
and last names are allowed. Suffixes, such as "Jr."
are also prohibited. The manager may correct
such "unacceptable" rosters and remove "middle" names. Any
such illegal rosters we find will be immediately terminated.
UNASSISTED TRIPLE PLAY - IN 6U!
There have
only been 15 unassisted triple plays
in the history of Major League Baseball.
In fact, there hasn’t been one in the majors
since 2009.
But don’t tell that to this 6-year-old,
who accomplished the feat last week.
TEXAS CLASSIFICATION REVIEWS UNDERWAY
Super Series' has commenced its annual process of reviewing all
team classifications in Texas. The criteria used in these
reviews includes:
Per Super Series rules: a team participating in other
organizations at a higher level, and with a winning record, must
participate in the Super Series associated level.
Teams which have won numerous events, or run-ruled many of their
opponents, will likely be elevated.
Elevation of classification is not intended to penalize
successful teams. The purposes include reduction of
run-rule games and to promote more exciting games and
competition. This also gives teams which have been
unsuccessful, a better chance to be competitive in the lower
classifications.
Teams which are elevated will be e-mailed.
SUPER SERIES STATE and SUPER REGIONAL
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Per Super Series rules, all teams entering State Championships,
Super Regionals, and World Series events must have played in
at least two
qualifying events this season, if there are events offered in a
team's home region.
If there are no qualifiers in a team's region, an at-large entry
may be permitted
(upon written request)
at the Super Series assigned classification. Super Series rarely
offers at-large entries in the Minors division.
UNLIMITED ROSTER ADDITIONS HAVE ENDED
One of the new rules this year allowed teams to drop and re-add
players to rosters up until May 15th.
Effective on May
15th:
1)
All rosters are now limited to 3 player additions hereafter (May
15th). If teams need more additions, they can terminate
their existing roster, re-register, and start over. Any points
or qualifications acquired with the old roster are forfeited.
2)
Once a player is released from a roster, the player cannot be
re-added to the same team for the remainder of this season.
TWO NEW RULES NOW IN EFFECT

Super Series has added two new rules effective immediately.
Any person playing music with profane or inappropriate lyrics at
a Super Series event may be ejected from the tournament. The
music policy has been incorporated as part of the
Disorderly Conduct rule.
2)

Teams that withdraw from any event after brackets are posted, or
fail to show, will be disqualified from further participation in
Super Series, and the entry fee will be forfeited.
COACH PITCH BAT RULE:
Easton BV22 V12 Coach Pitch Bat

Easton BV22 V22 bat is
NOT stamped "For Coach Pitch Only." However, the bat IS
marketed and advertised as a Coach Pitch bat.This bat, therefore, is
illegal for use in
(player pitch) The bat may be used in Coach
Pitch Only.
Similarly, any bat which is stamped, or marketed with "Not for
use with real baseballs," may NOT be used within Super Series
Baseball of America competition. Only real baseballs are
utilized in Super Series competition.
